In the NBA 2K25 Summer League action at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Leonard Miller spearheaded the Minnesota Timberwolves’ effort with a commanding 21-point performance, propelling them to a 93-83 win over the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
The Timberwolves took control early, establishing a 29-16 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Rockets ramped up their intensity in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to just seven points at halftime. They continued to press in the third quarter, reducing the margin to a mere three points as the final quarter loomed. However, the Timberwolves refocused and held the lead through the fourth quarter to secure the victory by a margin of ten points.
Miller was efficient on the night, going 9-for-17 from the field, and added 11 rebounds, five assists, five steals, and a block, leading his team in a well-rounded performance. Daishen Nix contributed 16 points, along with five rebounds and seven assists. Josh Minott and Rob Dillingham also played key roles, each adding 15 points to the Timberwolves’ total.
On the Rockets’ side, Reed Sheppard was the top scorer with 20 points and supplemented his performance with five rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block. AJ Griffin added 15 points and five rebounds, while Orlando Robinson rounded out the efforts with 12 points, nine rebounds, a steal, and a block.
